Love Party for the Kindergarteners and Prek's at church...
We learned about the woman at the well from the Bible and I had the kids in Kindergarten act this out. This really helped them to understand the story. Then we learned the Bible verse "Be glad and rejoice in God's love", hence the "love" party! Then we sang: "If your happy and you know it" (did the motions), "This is the day"(marched around the room). I encouraged fun and excitement in thankfulness of God's love. We had cupcakes and Enjoyed each other!

Snack idea for a Kindergarten class around Halloween!
It was my son's turn to bring in the class snack. It was two days before Halloween so I wanted to send something a bit more fun for the time of year. I found a fun, yet healthy snack...

The fingers with green fingernails! Ewwwww

1. I bought enough string cheese
for each child to have one full string of cheese

2. Cut each string cheese in half

3. Turn the cheese to the side.
At the top of the halved cheese,
carve a half circle.

4. Round the edges at the top.

5. Lastly, add the grooves below the nail.
6. Use green peppers as the finger nails. Just cut the peppers into circles.

** I also sent Strawberries cut in half as a second snack.
This snack was a success!

Cupcakes and a cake just for fun!

John Deere birthday party for my 3 year old boy!

I know it is quite small, but it has a tractor, hay bails (shredded wheat) dirt for the road and in corral (crushed graham crackers), two small men tending the farm and horse figures. All figurines were bought in a package in the toy section of Walmart for $5 bucks. The cake is "Too much chocolate cake" (see recipe) it was very good, and the icing was cream cheese (Betty Crocker pre-made) with green food coloring. The words were written with a zip lock baggie filled with icing and a small hole was cut in the corner of the baggie.
